Irina Zadov

Irina Zadov (she/they) has over 15 years of experience in community-based arts, youth work, early childhood education, and cultural organizing. Her practice explores the liminal space between the individual and the collective, diasporic community and chosen family, the home and the state. Irina aims to co-create joyful, healing, and liberatory spaces by, for, and with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, immigrants, young people, and LGBTQIA+ communities. Currently Irina is a Senior Program Specialist at the Chicago Park District, where they cultivate Young Cultural Stewards and Queering the Parks which aims to create inclusive, joyful, and liberatrory LGBTQIA+ spaces center queer youth of color. Irina received her Masters in Arts Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2007.
