Infant Massage

Our children need to have the sense of security be it emotional, mental, or physical. How to relax is one of the most important elements in life that we can teach our infants and children.  This begins with your interaction and engagement with them.

We communicate through, a myriad of actions and non-actions. The sound of our voices can alarm or soothe, facial expressions provide whatever emotions we are feeling, smells dictate pleasant or an uncomfortable environment.  However, the most powerful form of communication that you can give your infant is the power of touch. Your touch brings comfort, and the reassurance that they are in the best possible hands.

The application of Infant Massage is a wonderful tool for helping families to connect more closely with their baby and understand their baby’s cues and communication. At the same time, it gives parents an interactive practice that improves their baby’s sleep patterns, helps alleviate postnatal depression, enhances interaction, and reduces stress for both parents and baby. There are four main categories of benefits for the baby; Interaction; Stimulation; Relaxation.

A Certified Infant Massage Educator (CEIM)/ Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI) is trained to help parents position the baby for a successful interaction. Private sessions and group classes are available to assists the parent to develop this exchange. The instructor helps to create an environment that promotes the development of loving bonds, good communication, and a time of relaxation. It is a wonderful exchange of love.
